On April 3, 2024, Katelyn Bennett, a 33-year-old woman from Conway, South Carolina, was found dead in her vehicle near the intersection of Highway 905 and Gore Road, just outside Conway. Authorities discovered Bennett's body in the driver's seat of her car, which had crashed into a ditch. She had suffered a gunshot wound, and her death was subsequently classified as a homicide.
