On April 9, 2023, 23-year-old Cesar Lopez tragically lost his life in Ponca City, Oklahoma, due to an accidental self-inflicted gunshot wound. The incident occurred shortly before noon while Lopez was a passenger in a vehicle traveling near 2800 N. 5th Street. According to the driver, Lopez was handling a loaded firearm when it unintentionally discharged, striking him in the head.
