On March 24, 2024, Armando Salazar, a 49-year-old resident of Albuquerque and formerly of Taos, New Mexico, tragically lost his life in a shooting incident. Officers responded to a call shortly after 7 a.m. and discovered Salazar's body lying on the road in a secluded area near the mesa, close to 98th St and 102nd St., N.W. He had suffered a gunshot wound to the head.
