James Waters, aged 31, was killed on January 19, 2009, in Jacksonville, Florida. Waters was involved in an altercation that took place in the parking lot of an apartment complex. During the incident, Waters was struck in the head with a metal crutch by another man. In response, Waters pulled out a firearm and after an exchange of words, shot the man. The victim succumbed to his injuries two days later.
