On December 11, 2010, 30-year-old Dean Johnson II was shot and killed outside a bar in Eustis, Florida known as "The Gray Building." The incident occurred just after midnight at the intersection of Wall Street and Dixie Avenue. Dean was shot multiple times by an unidentified assailant believed to be a Black male. The attack happened outside the popular local bar after an evening that seemed otherwise uneventful, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
