James Jackson, age 26, was murdered on June 2, 2012, in Jacksonville, Florida. The incident occurred in the 7000 block of North Main Street, near East 61st Street. Jackson and a friend had just left a local convenience store, Sam’s Food Shop, shortly before 11 p.m. when they were approached by two individuals from behind. Jackson was shot multiple times, while his friend managed to escape. When the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office responded, they found Jackson bleeding and unresponsive.
