On December 19, 2016, Shiek Williams, age 37, was found dead in a ditch near the intersection of Joos and Jones Road in Jacksonville's Westside. The body was discovered by a passerby who noticed Williams while driving through the area early in the morning. According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, Williams had been shot, and his body was left at the scene.
