Upon entering the apartment at approximately 12:45 p.m., the officers discovered Mr. Nalls deceased. He had sustained what appeared to be a fatal gunshot wound. Later that evening, at 6:45 p.m., the Desha County Coroner's office officially pronounced him dead. His body was then transported to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for an autopsy to formally determine the cause and manner of his death.
