On May 11, 2014, Victor Luis Arenas, a 25-year-old resident of Eloy, Arizona, was fatally shot by a police officer outside his home. The incident occurred around 4 a.m. when Arenas went outside with a gun to investigate a possible intruder after hearing a noise.
