On February 5, 2021, 40-year-old John Allen Mast was fatally shot in the parking lot of Rosauers grocery store in Lewiston, Idaho. The incident occurred around 6 p.m. Mast, originally from Williston, North Dakota, was in Lewiston to pick up his children for a scheduled visitation. Upon arrival, he was confronted by his former father-in-law, 67-year-old James Robert Brashear of Winchester, Idaho, who shot him multiple times.
