On July 13th, 1915, a Loveland Town Marshall is found shot to death, his body found hanging over a railing of a bridge. Frank Peak, the night marshal of Loveland, Colorado, was shot and killed on July 13, 1915, while patrolling the streets. He was found on a bridge over the English Canal on South Lincoln Avenue, draped over the railing, with two gunshot wounds. The circumstances surrounding his death remain mysterious. It is believed that Peak had a confrontation earlier in the night with unknown individuals, which may have led to his murder.
