On a cool December evening in 2020, the life of 26-year-old Corneil Dontavious James, a Black male from Talladega, Alabama, was tragically cut short. The events of December 5th unfolded at a Munford Exxon on Highway 21, where deputies were dispatched around 6:45 p.m. following reports of gunfire. Upon their arrival, they discovered James inside a 2017 Chevrolet Cruz, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to Citizens ER for medical attention but was ultimately pronounced deceased. ...
