On August 28, 2020, 35-year-old Jamaal Schmann Cook was found unresponsive in his vehicle on the 1100 block of Dee Drive in Adamsville, Alabama, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries and was later pronounced dead.
