On October 21, 2019, 76-year-old Thomas "Tom" DeWille was fatally attacked in the Prospect Mountain community of Cullman County, Alabama. DeWille, a renowned pyrotechnics expert and founder of Luna Tech, was visiting the residence of 75-year-old Rollan Frank Edwards. During the visit, both men, along with 48-year-old Jody Jay Tudor, were assaulted with a combination of gunfire and stabbing. DeWille and Edwards succumbed to their injuries, while Tudor was hospitalized in critical condition.
