A man is stabbed while out with friends On Friday, December 23, 1977, the police received a call for a fight at Sylvia's Lounge. When they arrived, they found Jose Perez lying on the floor in a pool of blood. Mr. Perez was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy was performed by the Deputy Medical Examiner, and determined the cause of death was a stab wound to the chest and the manner of death was Homicide.
Witnesses say Mr Perez was sitting at a table with at least three other people when the suspect walked in the front door and directly up to Mr. Perez. They exchanged some words, and then the suspect stabbed Mr. Perez and left out the same front door he had walked in. The three people sitting with Mr. Perez at the time of the stabbing still have not come forward and have not been identified. Several other patrons of the Lounge who may also have information on this case, left before the police arrived. The police are asking your help in identifying witnesses, the suspect, or any persons who might have information about this case.
