Betty Lou Jensen, aged 16, was tragically killed on December 20, 1968, along with her boyfriend, 17-year-old David Faraday, on Lake Herman Road near Vallejo, California. The pair were on their first date and had parked in a secluded gravel turnout, a known lovers' lane on the outskirts of Vallejo. At around 11:15 p.m., an unknown assailant approached their vehicle and began shooting. Evidence suggests that the assailant fired into the car, prompting both teenagers to attempt to flee.
