On September 11, 1980, Carrie Mae Crowe, a 74-year-old resident of Redding, California, was found brutally murdered in her home on Oxford Lane. Her body bore the signs of a vicious attack, having been stabbed approximately 20 times. The discovery of her body shocked the local community, and the case has remained a cold case for decades.
