On January 3, 2017, 38-year-old Martin Pineda was fatally shot while taking out the trash at his apartment complex in the 2900 block of Corporate Drive in Houston, Texas. The incident occurred around 8:45 p.m. Houston Police Department officers responded to reports of a shooting and found Pineda with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. He was transported to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
