On August 23, 1983, Treva K. Cannon, a 54-year-old social worker from Ardmore, Oklahoma, was found dead in her home located on 11th NW. Cannon was discovered by a neighbor who went to check on her after noticing that her car was still in the driveway when she would typically have left for work. Upon entering the house, the neighbor found Cannon in the front bedroom. It was determined that Cannon had been beaten to death with a blunt object several hours before being found.
