On October 30, 1977, Cynthia "Cindy" Johnson, aged 16, left her home in Garfield Heights, Ohio, around 7 p.m., informing a friend that she was planning to meet a man. Cindy's body was found the following morning on October 31 at approximately 8:30 a.m. She had been placed on top of an industrial rubbish container outside the Titan Fastener Engineering Company warehouse in Independence, Ohio. The cause of death was determined to be strangulation by ligature, which ruled out manual strangulation, ...
