On February 24, 1978, Joseph Brandon, aged 26, was found shot to death at a residence located at 30001 Bates Road in Perrysburg, Ohio. Officers responded to a report of gunshots at that address and discovered Brandon lying in the driveway, already deceased. He had been shot with a 12-gauge shotgun. Notably, Brandon did not reside at the residence, and his vehicle was discovered parked at the bottom of the driveway.
