On February 24, 1978, Joseph Brandon, aged 26, was found shot to death at a residence located at 30001 Bates Road in Perrysburg, Ohio. Officers responded to a report of gunshots at that address and discovered Brandon lying in the driveway, already deceased. He had been shot with a 12-gauge shotgun. Notably, Brandon did not reside at the residence, and his vehicle was discovered parked at the bottom of the driveway. Authorities have been investigating this case since then, but it remains unsolved.
Brandon, also known by the nickname "Joe," was 5'7" tall, weighed 123 pounds, and had brown hair and green eyes. The Perrysburg Township Police Department took charge of the investigation, seeking to determine the circumstances and motive behind his tragic death. Despite their efforts, no suspects have been named, and the case remains open as a cold case.
