On January 9, 1987, Theodore Haudenschild, a 27-year-old resident of Barberton, Ohio, was found dead in his own bar, located on 2nd Street NW. The gruesome scene was discovered by an employee in the early morning hours. Haudenschild had suffered five stab wounds along with blunt force trauma to his head, leading to his untimely death. He was well known in the community, being the manager of the establishment where he was found, and was previously employed at Ohio Brass Company for seven years.
