On June 26, 1994, William Smith, a 20-year-old man, was tragically killed in Springfield, Ohio. The incident occurred around 8:50 p.m. after Smith left his girlfriend's residence on East Liberty Street. As Smith was walking in front of 117 East Liberty, he was confronted by two unidentified men. One of these individuals pulled out a handgun and fired multiple shots at Smith.
