On July 27, 1997, the body of 20-year-old Crystal Proctor was found in a cornfield off Osborn Road in Fairborn, Ohio. Authorities from the Clark County Sheriff's Office were called to the scene, and an autopsy conducted by the Montgomery County Coroner's Office determined that Crystal's death was the result of homicidal violence, though the precise cause was undetermined.
