On August 20, 2001, 17-year-old Harun Frizzell was tragically shot and killed in Cleveland, Ohio. The incident occurred on East 147th Street, where Frizzell and a female friend were sitting on his car when they were approached by an armed suspect. The assailant, described as a Black male in his early twenties, was holding a gun in each hand. He demanded that Frizzell and his friend get on the ground and then proceeded to ask for money.
When Frizzell said he had no money, the suspect demanded the keys to his 1989 Chevrolet Blazer.
A struggle ensued during which the suspect shot Frizzell in the head, fatally wounding him. The suspect then fled the scene in Frizzell's vehicle. The suspect was described as being about 5'02' tall, weighing approximately 135 pounds, and wearing a gray hooded sweater along with black knee-length shorts at the time of the crime.
Despite the efforts of the Cleveland Police Department and subsequent appeals for public assistance, the case remains unsolved.
