On June 29, 2003, the body of Joseph LeMaster, aged 35, was discovered in an open field off State Route 665 in southern Franklin County, near Grove City, Ohio. LeMaster had died from a single gunshot wound. He was last seen alive on June 28, 2003, in the area of Heyl Avenue on the north side of Columbus, Ohio. The details surrounding the events leading up to his death remain unclear, and investigators have limited information regarding his activities in the time before his death.
