On October 23, 2015, 24-year-old Samba S. Dia was found fatally shot in the courtyard area of 2321 Fitzroy Place North in Columbus, Ohio. Officers from the Columbus Police Department responded to a report at approximately 10:48 PM of a male found down and unresponsive in the area. Upon arrival, they discovered Dia with a gunshot wound to the upper body. Emergency medical responders from CFD Medic 24 arrived shortly after but pronounced Dia deceased at 10:55 PM.
The case remains unsolved, with no suspects identified as of now. The incident occurred in Franklin County, and the Columbus Police Department continues to investigate it as a homicide. Authorities have urged anyone with information to come forward, hoping to bring justice and closure to Dia's family. The Ohio Attorney General’s Office has also listed this case in its database of unsolved homicides to raise awareness and solicit tips from the public that might lead to solving the case.
