A man is shot while driving On December 26, 2016, Joshua Howard, a 28-year-old Black male, was fatally shot in Cincinnati, Ohio. The incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. in the 1200 block of Main Street in the Over-the-Rhine neighborhood. Howard was found in the driver's seat of his silver BMW 645 convertible with the top down, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Witnesses reported seeing a lone gunman approach Howard's vehicle and shoot him multiple times before fleeing on foot. Additionally, some witnesses mentioned observing a green SUV with temporary tags driving away from the scene, though police could not confirm its involvement. Authorities believe that Howard was specifically targeted, indicating that the shooting was not a random act of violence.
At the time of his death, Howard was expecting the birth of his first child, a son, who was due within days. He was laid to rest at Vine Street Hill Cemetery in Cincinnati.
As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with Joshua Howard's homicide. The case remains unsolved, and the Cincinnati Police Department continues to seek information from the public.
