A young man is fatally struck by a vehicle
On February 8, 2018, 22-year-old Kyle Gutierrez was tragically killed in a hit-and-run incident in Oberlin, Ohio. At around 1:54 a.m., Gutierrez was found lying in the middle of the southbound lane of North Main Street, near the address of 280 North Main Street. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The evidence suggested that he was struck by a vehicle traveling southbound, which then fled the area without stopping. Despite a series of interviews and investigative leads pursued by the Oberlin Police Department, no suspect has been identified, and no arrests have been made in connection to Gutierrez's death.
The case has been classified as an unsolved vehicular homicide. Local authorities, including the Oberlin Police Department, along with the Ohio Attorney General’s Office, have been working to keep the case visible to the public in the hope of receiving new leads.
