An elderly woman is found strangled to death
Madlyn Crouse, a 74-year-old woman, was found dead in her Main Street apartment in Nashua, New Hampshire, in the overnight hours of February 27–28, 1976; investigators determined she had been strangled.

She had lived at a Main Street address in the city and, according to contemporaneous death notices, died in Nashua on that late-winter weekend, with services held days later at St. Patrick's Church.
