In the autumn of 1985, a grim discovery was made in the woods near Route 101 in Greenland, New Hampshire. On October 20th, the decomposed body of 36-year-old Douglas Morgan, a male from Sharon, Massachusetts, was found. An autopsy would later reveal the brutal nature of his death; he had been beaten and stabbed. Investigators determined that Morgan had been last seen alive in early July of that year, leaving a significant gap of time unaccounted for.
