On October 31, 2015, 25-year-old Javonte Evans was shot and killed in Fresno, California. The incident occurred late on Halloween night, when Evans was gunned down in what police initially believed may have been a targeted shooting. Authorities responded to the scene, but by the time they arrived, Evans had succumbed to his injuries.
