Phillip Yorke, a 38-year-old resident of District Heights, Maryland, was found shot and killed on February 15, 2016. The incident occurred in the 1900 block of Rochelle Avenue. When officers arrived at the scene at around 4:45 p.m., they discovered Yorke suffering from gunshot wounds. He was later pronounced dead at the scene. Preliminary investigations indicated that this was not a random act, leading detectives to believe that Yorke may have been targeted.
