On February 6, 2016, 25-year-old Johnny Ruiz was shot and killed in Fresno, California. The homicide took place in the evening, with police responding to reports of gunfire in the vicinity. Ruiz was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, and despite efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The shooting shocked the community and led to an extensive investigation by the Fresno Police Department, though initially, there were no arrests or solid leads in the case.
