Amir Kareem Abdou, just 23 months old at the time of his disappearance, went missing from San Ramon, California, on April 30, 2003. Amir was allegedly abducted by his non-custodial mother, Halah Sokari. His father had legal custody, and Sokari, who did not have custodial rights, is believed to have fled the country with Amir shortly after the abduction.
